Guys,
Sorry this is a long one :-(
I've been going to Don @#$#@ Seeyle for the numerous warranty repairs on my '00 SVT. it has been hell!
My car has bled! We (the car and I) have gone through a MCU (@6100miles), a windshield, a trunk clasp, two sets of seat tracks, two radios (one fell apart while they removed it), a set of key fobs, (my key fobs still work maybe once every 3 or 4 tries), my right rear wheel is pitted (under the clearcoat) and is now slowly bending at the rim, and a dash warpage "repair kit". i've had a front end shake at around 75-80 mph since i got the thing which ford won't warranty 'cause they couldn't find it the first 4 times and then blamed on the rim. the front doors rattle like heck when i listen to any music with a drum or bass. for that matter, even a news guy who's gone through puberty (is it normal for your front doors to rattle listening to the news? my '80 escort didn't even do that and it only lasted 32,000 miles!). the parking brake cables were routed wrong when i got it and i had the famous rearend squeak from it (they did fix it after the - no kidding - sixth time i took it in. i had to force the service manager to take a ride in it to find (yes, i gave them the SSB - even printed it out for them).
I love my car - it just seems to have some suicidal tendencies.
I think Seeyle is half of my problem (dr. kevorkian to my manically despressed SVT), 'cause they take two or three tries to even agree with me that any of the above things have been a problem:
they won't warranty the rim 'cause they say it's bent (DUH! can you spell "defective"). they say it is the cause of the front end shake but i won't discuss that one here it is too long of a story. suffice to say they troubleshooting skills are........inventive, no, no, no. what's the word.....ah, idiotically silly. that's it. no other phrase fits.
they replaced the windshield and it whistled until i took it back in again.
they tried the "repair kit" on my dash and managed to make it warp even more and broke it at the windshield.
bottom line: they ordered me a new dash but i don't want them touching my car again (although rick in the detail shop in back does a pretty darn good job!). where is the best dealer in the Kalamazoo area to get quality work done? do i have to go all the way to Bill Brown in Livonia 'cause that the last good ford dealer i've found in this state (12 years ago).
FYI i brought the car new from Keller in GR - didn't like 'em when i bought and am not about to try them again.
So, any help? Thanks.
