This was a completely gh3y setup they had going on at the track.
Gates opened at 7pm, regisrtation ended at 8pm, time trials were done over when all registered racers had run, and then it was grudge races (head to head, no times) till 1am.
I got there at 10:15pm.
I did get to beat a V6 Accord (had a body kit and rice muffler, and he wouldn't say what else) and stock SVT Focus.
I beat the Accord by about 1 car length, the SVT Focus guy missed a shift about half way and I won by 5 car lengths.
So I don't really coun't that as a win.
After the track closed, a Dodge Dakota R/T and I raced on the Freeway for about 3 miles. It was pretty much even most the way, but I pulled away from him on every corner, and he would take me on the hills. Neither of us ever took off from the other. I'll call it a tie.
So my record is 1 win, 0 losses, 1 tie, and 1 no decision.
Come to find out, the track opens up every friday and Saturday night (through November) from 9pm-1am.
So I'll visit a couple more times to get ready for the Sport Compact Shoot-Out happening Oct 5th.
This is the big local race for rice around here.
Alot of the cars at the laste night races were cares I would never normally race; Corvettes, Cobra Mustangs, Firebirds, Acura NSX, Supra's, and other large HP cars that would eat me for dinner.
Not many small engine cars, and the few that were there were almost all running nitrous.
