Okay you have a wire that turns the gauges on when you turn the car on and then you have another 12 volt for the lights for when you turn the lights on. Tap into a fuse that only comes on when you turn the key on, such as the radio or power window fuse, make sure that the fuse is not to big because if it is it needs all the power it has, but if its to small youll overload it, find something in the middle, I dont remember what I tapped into. Go to radioshack and get some small piggy backs to tap into the fuse, there little connectors with tabs like fuses and they just go together, make sure you tap into the side of the fuse if you dont youll have power at ALL times.
