Can I just remove the cooler line and drain the old stuff and then fill up with new stuff, or does the car have to be running to get it out through the cooler line? I don't care if it's a complete flush. The tranny pan looks real hard to get to.
Never tried draining it through the cooler lines, so I can't help you there. The tranny pan is easy to drain, there's a plug on the bottom of the tranny at the end closest to the rear of the car. It has a square indentation in it. Use a 3/8" drive ratchet and a short extension (with no socket) to remove it. About 4 quarts should come out. Then you can refill through the dipstick tube.
