Joe, I think you may need a slight reality check. I love our little four bangers, that's obvious by the multiple hours of time I have spent on my own with modifications, fixes, etc.
But I firmly grasp the fact that it was not made for drag racing and short of a major TC or SC upgrade it never will be.
My point is you spouting off about a 17.1 average time versus a slightly miscalculated 17.2 average is kinda weak.
And if you want to compare your time with what my ATX- 2.0- 3000+ pound- 4 banger runs, I think you should set your sights a little higher. :rolleyes:
And Hector, good luck with the SC. I know you will find a way. Afterall, you found a way to make a header work while some people just told you all the reasons you couldn't. Please keep us posted.

hey joe hector is the one that is going to be doing the telling. as far as i can see hector is the one that the zetecs are going to be chasing. he is pushing the envelope with the header and other mods. you best show him some respect for taking chances and succeding. you must be very nervous about his up and coming mods cause you are looking very scared to me. hector will be the fastest, nicest looking zetec going down the track. later.

OOH and RED yes I know a 16.8 or 17.xx isn't fast when you look at most cars however looking at the Zetec powered Contours it is.

Thanks Redhawk. I'm in no way trying to put anybody down. My whole goal is to set an example. That you don't have to go down the straight path when it comes to mods. Just because they say it won't work doesn't mean it can't work. I want to prove there are more options than bolt ons and custom modification is sometimes the way to go. It is not as expensive as you think. Think outside of the box, visualize yourself outside of the box.
