the service advisor said that if I didn't fix the broken items on the original intake that I would mess up my new MAF. Is this true?

The parts for the original are going to cost me around $250. What should I do? And if you say aftermarket intake, will it mess up the MAF?

Thanks ya'll!!!!!

Aftermarket intakes do not mess up the MAF. I have had my CTA intake for a year with no problems. wink

Get the CTA intake and forget the rest. But you do need to plug the unfiltered air leaks soon.

UPDATE!!!!! I went to the salvage yard today and picked up the pieces I needed for 20 bucks. i talked the guy down from 50, so I am happy. MAF costed me $160 and it was ready to go and the dealership actually had one(what a suprise).

Now I am probably still going to get the CTA and keep the stock for taking it into the dealership!

Oh wait I forgot about the core charge that will bring it down to around $80 from a FORD dealer. Not FPO!
