Quick mods, think about taking and extending the CTA out into the fender where the OEM intake was. Put your filter there. That will shield it from the engine better. CHIP!!!! Nitros! Cheating?!? C'mon think about how you'll feel when the other guy is laughing after he beat ya (get it?!?!! nitro is laughing gas)when he hits his. Hey, it has its good and bad points. OK take it to an extreme. Build the motor!!!! Get a manual tranny AND do the nitros. I am that crazy! I will do this! One problem cha-ching cha-ching. Right now I am cha-flump. Installed APC air filter and APC crankcase ventilation filter. Removed exhaust resonator. Installed XM Satellite Radio. Replaced bad alternator and 175a fusible link...much fun! Intake plenum---GONE!!!! My car growls louder than yours. If I can't buy it, I'll build it...Trust Me!!!!

If nitrous is cheating why do most of the cars in drag racing use it? L8R Rich I don't have to head to a machine shop I'm a certified machinest... and I know people who work at machine shops so I can use the tools for nothing any pro drag racer doesn't put a bottle in their car until they have MAXed out their motor soooo once you do that then get your bottle for that extra hp. and as you just said you don't hav ethe cash right now so bottle feeding would be cheating in my and many other people I knows eyes. Like I have said many times it is your car and if you have the loot, than you can put whatever mods you want.
