MattIt will be quicker at highway speeds because when the O/D is on the computer is quick to shift into 4th gear for fuel economy. With the O/D off, the computer doesn't have that option so it stays in 3rd, which means you're at a higher RPM. All the Zetecs power is at the higher RPMs. For example, on my dyno I made my peak power at 5800 RPM and my peak torque at 5600 RPM.
But it is the same on the street. Step on the gas off a light and see how quick it shifts into 4th with the OD off. All you have to do is let go of the gas a hair and it will shift.
