ill admit i have a lead foot and i always drive witht the pedal to the floor my average mpg is 16-20 mpg is this bad? post your averages please.

how do you guys figure this out...i sometimes reset my tripometer and see how many miles i can get outta a full tank a gas, i can never really remember exactly where its at, but when I have my A/C off its around 250 miles i think...is that what everyone else gets about?

Just take the miles on the trip odometer and divide that by how many gallons of gas you just put in, do that for several fill ups and you can start to get an average mpg that way.

I average upper 20s(27-28). Winter will drop to around 23-24ish. I would do a plug and wire change. Drop in some fuel-injecter cleaner. Maybe engine restore. Just some ideas. 16-20 is bad, horrible even if you drive it hard. I was getting that until I did a spark and wire change.
Best I ever got with the Zetec is 44. I was drafting my dad in his semi and his team buddy was right behind me. So virtually I did nothing aned just got pushed by the trucks.

With my bad O2 Sensor I am still getting about 350 miles per tank. That's still 26.9 MPG.. With my car running right I can easily average 30 MPG, and I run the piss outta my little Zetec.

30MPG is about average for me. I run mine pretty hard, too.

when I run back and forth from school to home I can get upwards of 350 miles to the tank cruising at 70. I sometimes have a lead foot so between 25 and 30 mpg is what I get
