ok....i've got a problem and i was wondering what could be causing this....
my car runs fine when i am accelerating, crusing around or whatever, but when i am stopped at a light or stopped in a parking spot, my car cuts off. it's almost like it doesn't want to idle correctly. what could be causing this? i had my battery checked and it's good, and i just cleaned my air filter, so i don't know what it could be.

Check the MAF and TB, they may be clogged. Also check the IAT. Other than that I dont know.

Sounds like the O2 sensor to me. My car had almost the same problem, except mine never stalled, the idle would jump from about 500 to 1100 RPM's when I was stopped at a light or when parked. Sometimes it felt like it was going to stall, but it never did. Have the O2 sensor checked, it may be sticking...

how do i check to see whether the MAF or IAT or even the o2 sensor is clogged? should i just take it to ford and see what they say? i bought some fuel injector cleaner to add to my gas tank and i am gonna see what happens. i guess i'll update the situation later...thanks

well, i put in the fuel injector cleaner and it helped give me great gas mileage, BUT my car is still cutting off at stops and i am throwing CEL's. i am gonna take it by ford to let them run a check on it. i guess it is my egr valve or something like that. i wanna get it fixed before i change from my KKM to my CTA. we'll see what happens...

Happened to me once and the code was saying low cyclinder compression turns out it was a cracked spark plug maybe check those

well, i got my car fixed....it turned out it was the O2 sensor that had gone bad. It ended up costing me 300 to get it replaced, just cause i know the dude and he took OFF 200 dollars. is there anyone out there actually paying 500 dollars for this? just wondering....well, time to go put on the CTA...
