My advice is if you have 3k to play with, spend it all on something big. You can do the nickel and dime stuff later, a little at a time. Look at cams or a head or something. It's not too often you get to dump a big load of dough into a car. You can save up $400 for an exhaust and $150 for an intake. It's pretty damn hard to save 3 large. Spend it wisely however.
