1998.5 silver svt
as of now the only mod thats noteworthy is a set of yoko A520 225/45/16 which i am very imrpesed with(for the money especially)

Now i am considering my next move for the suspension, the most evident need for me is reducing the leaning so a set of h&r or eibachs would do the trick but then i would need to go with the konis to keep them form wearing out. The guys at sca recommended a sway bar for the first mod but really i dont need the help with over steer as you can induce thapretty easily(especailly for a 3000lb front wheel) by throwing the weight forward.

So I think that i should just bite the bullet and gat a quaife so i can just get the pwer to the ground first and then worry about the other mods.

Is that a good way to go for a first upgrade with the possibility of not making any other mods in the near future>

Would love any advice or opinions thanks!

welcome to ceg. first off, where in cali are you located? be sure to check out the nor cal and/or so cal forums.

search around for opinions on which springs but i can tell you from experience the h&r's dont handle bumps very well but they do stiffen nicely and keep the car stable through the turns. i would recommend the sway bar. i drive my car very hard and i have never ever been able to break the front or the rear loose. the bar really keeps the back end supported through the turns. be sure to get the heavy duty brackets if you get the sca one!

wow, the quaife, amazing from what i have heard. if you dont mind spending the $$ then get it....ask around to see what other people think. the quaife is a great mod if you are going in the direction of a vortech!

i would say on the performance side, the KKM filter and the sho-shop y-pipe should be your first mods. i love them both, along with everyone else.
http://www.kustomz.com/ http://www.shoshop.com/ (the y-pipe is less than $250 for the aluminized one)

have fun!

laugh
