I show that the 2.0 '95 ATX, '96 ATX, and '97+ ATX are all three different styles. I show the tour/stique 2.0 MTX TB's to all be interchangeable. Swapping on a different TB would be possible, boring this one out enough to justify it would not be possible. While there is enough over all material to get it to a larger size, the throttle bar bearings are located rather close to the bore. That leaves not much room to work with for over boring it without going to extreems setting up new bar bearings. The bolt pattern is similar to the 3.8 V6 Taurus TB, but the throttle bar goes through the bore 90 degrees differently than the Zetec tour one. The easiest way would be to make a 1 inch custom machined spacer ($$guessing at least $100$$) and use an SVT or other TB with custom cables. I could do it if I had a car here to play with for about a week or so. The big thing to remember is that we're not increasing the over all flow area much at all. The bigest gains come from the increase in air speed through turbulence reduction through a TB the same size as stock. Ya, D Davis, that lip was HUGE! The little triangle shaped dip at the bottom of the TB was reduced to a little spec as well. I couldn't go much deeper into it without fear of getting to thin on material. The way it is now, it should be pretty good gains all around, from tip in, to full throttle high RPM.

WOW! You removed a ton of material. I really wanted to send mine to you but I ran out of cash. Right now I'm just waiting for D Davis to release his CAI. (And for a couple more paychecks!) I want to do both at once. It looks like it weighs about half as much as stock! D Davis, I am dying to hear the stock intake/stock TB numbers versus the CAI intake/Optimized TB.

D Davis, I am dying to hear the stock intake/stock TB numbers versus the CAI intake/Optimized TB.Ya, there was quite a bit of material removed. I vacuumed up quite a bit of it... the rest ended up in my hair and clothes! I wore my face shield, but I was out of dust masks, so I'm still picking out aluminum boogers! I'm waiting with baited breath about the numbers too. Wish he also had a Duratec near by that could test for the V6 TB BNM optimizations...

You should throw a post out in the SouthWest forum and see if anyone wants to do this and then dyno it. All we have are Duratecs minus myself and a guy that just popped on the board last week Everyone please remember that my original "stock" dyno numbers weren't even truly stock.

Everyone please remember that my original "stock" dyno numbers weren't even truly stock.[/b]Tell me who wants it and who deserves it most and I'll PM them. As long as they can get a dyno session done to post results, I'll probably do the same sort of deal I gave you. Tell them I have SE and SVT cores on hand for $100 with $80 refund once they send theirs back if they want a quick turn around time.

Considering Kaiser is elbows deep in a different project and none of the others can be counted on for anything (excluding warmonger, but he's a 3L guy), I'd say he's definitely the most deserving.
