That is not the worst that could happen. The worst that could happen is what happened to my POS '84 Mitsubishi Tredia: the aftermarket filter I used created a higher back-pressure than the factory one, and Mitsubishi sent out warning letters to owners telling them not to use aftermarket filters such as Fram, but I didn't get one because I was the third owner, so I went ahead and used something Fram-like........

...and one day the oil pump just didn't manage to pump the oil any more, and the engine froze solid in the middle of traffic.

I'm not saying this is at all likely with a Tour, but one should be aware that risks of this magnitude can exist when using incorrect oil filters.
