When you push the gas pedal all the way down to the floor, the A/C compressor turns off.
I have been wanting to get a Mondeo HVAC switch that has that. It's a push on/push off for the compressor. Same stuff otherwise. That way you can have recirculating air without getting all cold and stuff.
