Not, of course, that a bigger one would help so much, if what they say about the manifold being the worst restriction is true.

Brad, As soon as I get all of my parts from fordpartsonline.com next week, I'd like to send mine to you. (Along with the valvecover and MAF that I mentioned in my e-mail) It would be for an ATX. Since it sounds like D Davis will be the first in, how much will it cost? Same as a duratec? This rocks... BTW, I bugged SILVA BULLITT a while ago about making a CNC TB for us Zetec guys, but nothing ever came of it.

BTW, I bugged SILVA BULLITT a while ago about making a CNC TB for us Zetec guys, but nothing ever came of it.For now, yes, the same price as the Duratec stuff. $50 by itself, or $35 in addition to powder coating the TB... Future price may be the same, may change...

Thanks Hector. Once I get the jigs made up, it only takes me about an hour to do a TB in most cases. Heck, I just optimized a carb for a neighbor's son for his Yamaha moped which takes me longer than a TB does!!! Future price depends on how quickly things can get apart and go back together, we shall see just how cheap we can go.

After SZ that might be a possibilty. You going to try to get that wheel powdercoating deal running again after SZ? I am interested.

Brad, if I wanted an optimized TB for ATX Zetec, would I have to find my own core to send you? Or conversely, have a dead car until you're done -- and in that case, what kind of turnaround time are you talking about?
I think I'm interested, if the price is reasonable and the logistics aren't too dreadful.
I wonder how much gain comes from just sharpening the edges of the plate? I could do that...
But the other main problem I notice is that, with the CTA intake, the top end needs to be a lot more tapered so as to not have a lip where the air comes in. Is this part of your optimizing?
