Let me know what you discover as far as possible replacements.
Anybody see a problem with bolting a plate that fits our mounting bolts to the bottom of a bigger TB?

Secondly, we'd need to find a TB that has similar linkage to keep modifications minimal. All will not be lost though, I did a TB swap on a '93 Escort to one off of a 3.8 Taurus without a hitch. I still have the thick gauge steel to make several throttle cable brackets if I have to too.  Most likely, we'll get something that comes close without needing an adapter plate too...

I would imagine that they'd only be different on the outside, RE: the linkage. At this time, no need for an ATX. Could use a good close up picture of each if anyone has one though.
