Chat...the Accel coil won't work either if you do have Magnecore wires for the Focus. Trust me, I own a ZX3 and the very first thing I bought was the Accel coilpack. Chris at CTA helped me figure out why...the plug wire connectors to the coil for the Contour Zetec and Focus Zetec are quite different.
