What will happen if I cut my Eibach's on my SVT? Will it tear the ride up? I want the car to sit lower than what the Eibach's provide. But I don't want to spend $400 plus dollars on Ground Control. I see picture of some SVT's lower than other's, and they all have the same suspension set up. Is ther a secret to get it lower?

ARE YOU CRAZY! Not about dropping it, but about cutting springs. I have heard it does wonders for your lower back... Naw, seriously, people are talking about using clamps and stuff, but the SAFEST *and I know the MOST expensive* way to do it are with Ground Controls. Just my .02!

Eibach's are stiffer and shorter springs, but the width of the springs are a bit increased.

Is there a noticeable difference in performance between the ground controls and H&R's/Eibach's? Just wondering why so many people have the latter.

I cut one coil off my eibachs all the way around and it actually handled better i would not recommend cutting more than one coil.

If you have the pro kit Eibachs they are progressive lowering springs meaning the more force you place on the springs the harder they become. IMHO cutting the coils..in any springs...you will lose this progression/compresion on the spring (depending on how much you cut). Cutting springs may give you the look you want but it may off set the handling they are supposed to provide. Alex GL V6 MTX was bone stock

Cutting ANY progressive rate spring is bad, bad, bad! Don't do it! If it were linear, or had a "dead" coil on it, you can cut it. But don't cut progressive springs (which the Eibach's are).

alot of the time the car is lower if it has smaller rims. I know when i had the eibach's on my stock 16's the car sat lower than my car on eibach's and 18's.
