For the Zetec the turbo will be better than a supercharger, because the supercharger is belt driven. Therefore you will be losing power to get somemore power. The turbo is exhaust driven so it won't take any initial power off the engine.
I believe the turbo is better hp rating for you money. There are a few kits available.
EDIT: Also try a search on this subject. It has been talked about a lot in the last few weeks!!!!!

supercharger for the zetec woulnd't give you much more power the turbos for us would. go with the turbo if you are wanting to get big HP gains.

The turbo will still cost you HP to gain HP, just not as much as a super charger. From what I've seen in SC Focii it really isn't worth the 3k investment. Of the ones I'm aware of you get a measly 30-50 ft-lbs of torque improvement. With a turbo kit you could get 60-70 easily and upwards of 200 improvement with a stage 3. Torque is what makes the car extra fun to drive, so get lots of it as soon as possible.
Confusous Say: People want torque but buy Horse Power.

In the latest issue of Mustangs and Fast Fords they got a Focus from 107-109 hp at the wheels to 212 hp and 167 ft-lbs at the wheels with a Jackson racing supercharger with a smaller blower pulley, bigger MAF, and bigger injectors. Right there that is better than stage 2 power for the upcoming turbo.

I thought we were talking Hp to Hp. Still no turbo lag. Still what would you need...a decompression gasket?

I thought this was for the Zetec in general not just for the Contour.

all I gotta say is this: jackson racing on the main page the list honda, acura, focus, miata... no mention of ZX2 or cougar or contour on there...
