As some of you already know I ordered a set of adjustable cam gears about two months ago. The gears were on back order but I got lucky from a customer return and my order got shipped out. All of my order...except for the installation 'tool'. Well, the 'tool' finally arrived today!
The 'tool' is a cam lock tool to keep the cams from rotating out of 'time' when the gears/timing belt have been removed. I now see where these companies make all there money...the 'tool' is a 7 or 8 inch long piece of steel cut/ground to a certain thickness with straight edges all around. How much does a technical innovation like this go for now-a-days you ask?? About $28.00 US!!
Oh well, the good news is I can finally try and put these darn gears on...so who wants to come over and help!
Hopefully I'll get pics up as soon as possible...next up...CAMS!
