Im just trying to get and update on the CAI, and get this topic started again! I either wanna hear an update, or some more whining, what kind of Contour owners are you!!!!!!

Is this gonna happen? I made a cai from 3" stainless exhaust pipe and cut the fender well where the old airbox vent was. It sits down in the space behind the bumper. Lots of air hits it.
It was pretty easy to do . I hooked it to the throttle body with a 3" elbow. I drilled and welded a piece for the air temp sensor then tapped it out. I cut the intake behind the battery and mounted the maf inline there. Then put last bent piece of pipe in with K&N filter and aem bypass valve. Even though stainless is heavier than aluminum it doesn't transfer heat even close to as fast as aluminum does. So no engine heat can affect air.

Dude, we did all the whining that we can, it's just a matter of time now. Lord knows, i whined some much for this thing, i need power and all i have is a KKM installed. About 2 months ago i was so damn close to buying the CTA CAI, but i figured if i waited this long, why not wait a bit more?

Hey D DAVIS!! You see? I'm not the only one being impatient. What's the deal bro? Have not heard anything about this lately. Dude, don't make us get stupid here. I'm warning you! You will force us to sneak up on your car at night, slap a 6 foot touring wing on your trunk, and badge the whole car with big R stickers everywhere. Now you don't want that to happen, do you?

Guys, while I appreciate your interest in this, please understand that it isn't me that's building it. I'm only the test mule. I haven't heard anything lately because of two things:

1) The turbo SVT project is eating up a lot of Keith's time.

2) Keith has been gone on vacation for the last week or so.

I promise I'll update you guys as soon as I hear something. I know it's been a while and I'm growing impatient myself.

And tell Keith we will fill his car full of remains of shredded documents from Enron to the rim, then wrap his car with Reynolds Plastic Wrap, all for going on vacation with out asking us for permission. Will take him months to clean that mess up.

I need cold air 2. PLEAZZZEZ. I'll be a test mule. Zetecs are more important than SVTs, SVTs don't need turbos, but we need cold air.
