I would be interested if it fit onto the CTA intake.

He said he was looking into the CTA attachment. It is supposed to eliminate the MAF, or somehow incorporate it into the pipe. It might just be as simple as adding an extra length between the MAF and the filter. I'd love to add to what I've got and maybe make it a little quieter.
DD, How loud is yours when it's in place, compared to the CTA?

Being the only Zetec 'tour around here, I've never heard the CTA. I can tell you our intake is loud enough to notice. It's actually an odd sound - a nice middle-ground between ricey and throaty I hope someone can make sense of that

Now that's an interesting idea. I'm already going to be lengthening my CTA by inserting an eRAM into it -- why not add a bit more pipe and somehow fit the filter into the wheelwell?
Would make it a ***** to take the filter out for cleaning, or even inspect it to see if it's getting dirty. Probably be a lot more exposed to some kinds of dirt, too. Maybe I should stick with my cheap heat shield.
I wish I could use 2.5 inch pipe instead of 3 inch. That would avoid an abrupt constriction at the TB and maybe make the flow more laminar. But the only kind of pipe readily available in that size off the shelf is PVC.

Hey D Davis, have fun showing off this CAI at the show this weekend. Let us know how it went, will ya?
Tell'em that we cannot wait any longer and that if they do not release this thing soon, we will all come down there, park on their lawns, and spin our wheels until the the green is gone. When were done, we'll shave their pets bald and pick all of their prized produce. And if that's not enough, we'll swap their mail boxes so no one gets their mail.
