Okay - I'm just getting started with all this stuff. Does anyone know where I can get a performance header kit for the 2.0? And has anyone been able to find a throaty exhaust kit (like Borla) that fits the zetec? Thanks for the help! -Travis

No header, though there was a company (THM) that was going to make one, Performance Fords has a Zetec exhaust by Brullen, should sound pretty sweet, but its kind of pricey, come to think of it I think they mentioned something about developing a header for the Zetec.

Do a search, its in the upper right hand corner of the page.
Also, the header from a Focus will NOT fit our cars. For exhaust, you may be able to find an SVT kit somewhere and put that on.

Hey tricked, Did you do the intske or the exhaust first? How much difference did you notice on whichever you did 1st? I just added the CTA and I can feel a little difference (not to mention hear a BIG difference) in the pickup but I'm curious about the power increase once you completed the whole breathing process. Also what did you do with the big long bolts that held the resonator on the TB? And can you replace those, let's say if you cut them off and now your wife hates what the car sounds like, hypotheticly, of course.

well i did exhaust first....just because my CTA intake hadnt come in the mail yet...i ordered some other stuff from chris that was on back order....anyways...you can def feel a little difference on the bottom end....doenst necessarily get you off the line faster....but you dont have to wait for rpms to jump up to 6499 anymore to feel the get-up-and-go.....i mostly noticed sound though....it really completed the overall sound of the car....it takes a little bit of the sound away from the cta and puts it out the back of the car making the exhaust a little louder....plus with 2.25 inch piping...it helped to have more air flowing through for the throaty sound........whew....i am out of breath....
as far as those bolts go? i removed them completely....we are talking about the three randomly placed bolts holding the chamber on top of the TB? correct? yeah they are sitting on my workbench........

Tell your wife to grow a sack.
j/k
The bolts on the TB are threaded on both ends so you can take them out if you want. I left the front one on when I put the CTA on for a little extra rigidity as it rests against the TB coupling.

Now if you want to go back, I guess you'll have to drill them or something...

anyone....... paul thought about making a cover/heatshield to fit around the elbow goin into the TB? to cover up the cables and unsightly holes where we removed the intake plenum bolts? just a thought.....something purely aesthetic?

In response to the focus header, I take it doesn't fit because of the oil dipstick? So could you not just move it, I mean the actual shaft is bendable, and separate from the port in the block.
Just a thought?
