Sorry for posting this dead topic ya'll!!!!

Now I just have to decide what kind and weight to use with the FRAM oil filter. Many of you are running Mobil 1 Synthetic. My main concerns were oil leaks, engine wear, and the temperature of the engine(my engine runs on L all the time).

I'm running Mobil Tri-synth. 5w-30 with a motorcraft filter...haven't noticed much difference, but with only 38k on the car, I would hope I wouldn't...

If you're insisting on FRAM quality, then you'd better use the cheapest oil you can find.

If Mobil 1 is worthwhile, so is a decent filter...

I don't think K&N makes one for our cars but you could probably go with a PureOne from purolator

Sorry fellas, a lot of people I know use the FRAM oil filter and the like it(but they also use dino). I didnt think it would make much of a difference, I guess you learn something new everyday.

Now another question is where can I find a Purolator PureOne oil filter?

TIA

Sears should have them they do by me.

have you changed your oil on your zetec before???

if you haven't you will find it is MUCH easier with the K&N cause it has a nut on the end if the filter. I had broken 2 oil filter wrenches getting off the one that was on the car after I bought it. never had a problem with the K&N all I need is 1 scoket, 1 universial joint, and one ratchet.
