OP BBorges Moderator B Joined: May 2001 Posts: 956 CT	I don't get it... I have been trying to search on zetec pinging / knocking but there is NOTHING !! All pinging posts are about the duratech... Maybe I am the only one tha has a pinging problem on a zetec... I am using 93 gas, no bad codes and still pinging on high RPM / uphill ...... Someone told me once that it could be the EGR valve.. but that seems to be working fine..... Anyone, ANY suggestion ??? Anything at all ?? Now that I think of it, I never put in higher octane gas than 87, but I have added octane booster before and the engine absolutely hated that tank of gas.
