wouldnt manualy shifting an ATX do no good for the tranny???

Easier to get a chip this is what I noticed: it shifts from 1st to 2nd at 35 at 6000rpm, 2nd to 3rd at 70 (6000rpm), 3rd to 4th at 110 and just keeps on going.

Well during hard acceleration it shifts fairly smooth. Every other time it can shift hard at times.

[QUOTE] The prior owner of my tour must have put a chip in then because when I'm racing, the trany shifts sharply and I do get os "jolt". Also the "torque converter lock" seems to come into play right when I need it! Stephen

sqplus and redhawk- ME being dumb? better look in the mirror. an SE-R is a four-door sedan, dummy. no such thing as performance and good mpg? Mark VIII-300 horses and 30 mpg. who's the dumb one now?
