my question would have to be WHY??? why would one want to put in an ancient engine like that? and how common are the early '80's escort gt turbos? just like the rs turbo lynx's. not common. i can see why older escort guys want the zetec, but the early 90's escort gt's had mazda engines in them that really screamed, so i read. they were legitimate mazda powerplants. probably the same engines that were in the early miata's. i find it hard to believe an owner would want to put in the anemic zetec. even the late '80's escort gt's high output 1.9's would outrun a zetec, they were lighter and peppier.
