I have discovered that the 1.6L, 1.9L, and 2.0L CVH engines in the 81+ Escorts are virtually identical to the 2.0L Zetec. And also that the 2.0L Zetec will also drop right into a 81+ Escort like it was meant to be there too. Also the 1.8L will fit into the Contour too with little fuss. The 1.8L Turbo in the 323 GTX is the engine except with a turbo. So if you are to cheap to buy Terry's kit or you just can't wait and don't mind a .2L decrease in displacement then the 323 GTX engines fit into the Contour with very little drama. Or you might be able to pull the turbo gear off of a 1.6L Turbo Escort and retrofit it to the Zetec fairly easily. I found out about all of this from the Escort pages at www.escortgt.com Those guys treat the 2.0L Zetec like it was a gift from god! Check it out if you want to, I just thought I'd be nice and pass this info along. I think my next project is going to be a Zetec Powered 91-96 Escort GT with a turbo, I think it sounds like fun.
