I notice the reverse lock out is gone, was that your choice to remove it or when you cut the shifter down, does it eliminate that function and you dont have a choice about it?

I think you can do it in the pre-98 Contours, it just more paint in the ass... Probably involve in getting underneath the car unhooking the linkage, cut the shifter, refit the lockout (or not but you have to leave the lockout not engaged), then put everything back on. That'll be my next mod! I'm going to "try" to see if I can figure it out.
