OP millhouse Member M Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 51 in	What is the maximum rpm for the contour based 2.0, as well as the peak horsepower? Also what is the maximum speed per gear? Why the hell didnt they put a tach. in the gl, damnit! Also, is there a rev limiter for the 95 contour? I drive the piss out of the car, but have yet to hit it. Hopefully I just havent reached it yet.

The RPM and HP can be found at the main page.... under specs.. or something like that.... Speed per gear... That's a good one.... I just posted about that 1 month ago... they gave me some answers... even a web page that "calculates" that for you: http://pw1.netcom.com/~sgalaba/mph.htm Try it.. it's very nice... And if you do the search you'll see that we a topic under "ZETEC" about RPMs... (I started that.. for the same reason u are asking now.. We don't have the tach... ) About they not putting the Tachometer... I am not sure... that's a mid-size car... I guess they didn't want to spend the $$... and besides.. it's supposed to be a family car... and the GL trim is the base one... I don't know the answer !!! Ask FORD !! Everybody here has something to share... that's the great thing about this forum... Hey about doing the search to find out about the max speeds / per gear.. I cannot find it... That means that you won't find it either... Someone told me the numbers.. this guys that has a Zetec with Tach... he told me the speeds at each gear at 5500 RPM.... and his numbers were pretty close to the numbers u'll get from the gear-speed calculator web page that i gave u....
