Talking about Neons...

What are the differences between the ACR and the R/T ???

My friend tells me that the R/T Neon has the DOHC 2L, and the ACR has the same engine as the R/T, but it has a tuned suspension. He said that he has seen an ACR pull a 1.07G in the skidpad.

Just beware of properly tuned Neons though, those things are monsters! They have so much aftermarket support it's not even funny.(go to nopi.com and see the list of stuff for them) Stock their not much trouble though. They share basiclly the same engine as the DSM triplets so the possibilites are endless as far as power goes. I've learned to stay away from Eclipse GSXs(stock 92 GSX 0-60 in 6.7s newer ones 6.4s) and just about whatever you can do to those you can do to a Neon DOHC, except AWD unless your pockets are deep enough.

I beleive you more cuz you have a MTX but my g/f had an auto GL and it was a major dawg!!!
It could chirp a little in first but when it shifted into second....yeah right no chirpin there.

I had trouble with beating a Neon ACR with light modification and a great driver, while my car was still stock. They are great handlers though, thats prety much their claim to fame. I too was lookin at an ACR before the contour, I am very glad with my decision as now I have no problem with the ACR even my limited mods. Peace y'all... -Nick
