I left the bracket where it was basically because I didn't feel like undoing the engine mount bolt again... Is this a difference between pre-98s and 98+es? Should the instructions say to face it the other way on pre-98s?

The part I had the hardest time with was getting the filter over the MAF. I had to wipe silicone lube on the fitting surfaces. Is this bad? What should the instructions tell people about this -- what should they avoid and what is an okay measure to use?
