Well, it was cool while it lasted. The fix I came up with lasted me for approximately 5 opens and closes. Now it's back to it's old self again.
The real way to fix it for good, is to replace that crappy plastic gear. this is only done by replacing the WHOLE THING!!
I hate that.
Here's an idea:
My wife makes jewelry and can mold things. I am going to have her make a replacement gear out of brass. Don't worry, you people with broken moonroof motors will be the first to know if I make them.
