Does anybody else's B&M hit on the shifter support block?
What I mean is the stick itself, just above the pivot ball, hits the mounting block (the support part around the mounting ball) on shifts into second, sometimes 4th. Does this happen to anyone else? If I try to shift hard into second, it won't let it "pop" unless I hold it there for a second.
It's all about balance.

I have occasional trouble with the shifter while lazy shifting but that could just be my tranny. So far, I haven't missed a shift at the track in about 10 runs.

I hit the base as well in 2nd and 4th.
Gotta take it apart and put the Dremel to use one of these days.

Mine hits slightly in 2nd and 4th, but I kind of like it. It makes the shifts more solid and quality feeling. I never have problems getting into gear tho. I'm devising a mod (in my head so far) that puts stops in for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th so I can get the same feeling.

Mine seems just fine. No hits that I can tell anyway...Guess I'm just lucky.

Rara,
Anyone ever thought about using aircraft quality end links on the shifter cables.
I can't remember if the ends of the cable are threaded

Rara,
Mine hits as well in 2nd and 4th. I have a theory on this. It seems that over time the shift cables stretch out a bit. As a result, you are no longer centered in the opening of the shifter (this could also explain why my shifter is so jerky sometimes). One of these days I'm going to get around to realigning my cables and see if it fixes the problem.

Nope, but mine catches on the way into 5th. The very bottom of the lever (where the little ball sticks into the white plastic thingie attached to the linkage) hits the support base. A Dremel should fix it, but it never hit with the stock shifter, so I'm confused why it does now.
