OH MAN... this chip is freaking awesome... It was an annoying install because i broke a latch on the power steering resevoir but other than that it's all good. Also make sure when you are cleaning the ecu's leads you clean them good and shiny. I was trying to get through it fast and one of the leads wasn't quite clean i guess and the engine wouldn't start  . Anyway after that i went for a test drive. Man is it wicked! Up a hill no problem. Through the highway it seems that the shifts are now taking place at more appropreiate times. And you know what? during my idle the car doesn't even hum any more it is completely silent. It's amazing!!!... well with this info and the dyno WHY AREN'T YOU GETTING YOURS???!!!

took the car out again.. and it stalled!!! cleaned the leads again and it's fine... take time to clean the leads or you will be cleaning them a lot more

doesn't even hum at idle? i like my car's idle right now with my custom exhaust..kinda low and rumbly..i couldn't imagine it being quiet 
No car anymore ;\ (taking a break from driving due to several misfortunate occurances) Newest mod for my Dad's Cobra 'vert: My beautiful girlfriend and I for passengers when we want to go somewhere

I've read that the Diablo comes with some kind of software for allowing you to tune its parameters yourself. Can you tell me anything about that?
My engine is weird and the chip might need some pretty nonstandard settings to accomodate it. I don't want to buy one unless there's some way to get it to fit what I've got, hopefully without paying through the nose for professional dyno tuning.
96 GL Zetec ATX, white with pinstripe, nickname " Sam Smooth " mods so far: CTA intake with homemade heat shield, KVR drilled front rotors & carbon pads w/ 500° fluid planned mods: exhaust (want to keep it quiet), e-ram (awaiting installation), diablo chip involuntary mods: compression increased after head gasket failure

i heard the same thing, that there is software avaliable, but i'm guessing it's not for public use. If you screwed something up i don't think they want to be liable. The only way would probably be forking over another hundred to get it custom tuned. unless you can find the software somewhere.
