I'm sure this question has been asked before and I apologize in advance for asking. What exactly is the purpose of the air intake resonator? I've been reading alot about people taking theirs off. What is gained (or lost) by removing the resonator? It must serve some purpose if Ford put it there? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!
