I think you will find that the 2.3 Duratec in Europe is a diesel motor.Ford appear to be using the term 'Duratec' for a lot of the small diesels being produced over in Europe....

While spending 3 weeks in Germany for the Army, I got to see both the Mondeo and the 5 door Focus. The Mondeo is pretty cool, there needs to be an SVT or similar version if it comes to the States. The 5 door Focus just looks like a ZX3 only stretched and added doors.
