Why is it when i turn on my a/c my car loses so much power.. my taurus never had that problem. its a bummer when a kia sephia smokes you because your a/c is on. mad

I also have this problem. I hate when I have to turn my a/c off to bust a left in to a busy intersection.

The reason is that the A/C compressor sucks a fairly large amount of power off the engine. A larger motor like the one in the Taurus has power reserves to make the loss of power less noticeable. The Zetec unfortunately doesn't have those power reserves...
