Funny you should mentiong something like this...

A local ZX2 owner ordered an SVT engine a little while ago...I heard about it and mentioned to him...well if you have the $$$ to do that then why not swap in the 3.0L block. Low and behold, he has gone that route. They are still working on it, but over the summer expect to see some pics of this big time sleeper!!!

Wooohoooooo,

Imagine this:

- this new 58hp piece of equipment
- a turbo
- usual add ones as chip, exaust, intake...

Will all these types of mod not require a new tranny?? confused

You guys better do some more research on that Gund kit. I sent that link to my ZX2 S/R buddy and he said the people that ordered the kit aren't even dynoing 30 hp. One of the ZX2 guys called them to ask why his car didn't even come close and they didn't say too much. There will be a lot more parts coming out with the launch of the SVT Foci. Stay tuned to that.

hi i'm not todras. But he was on my computer yesterday and forgot to log out. Anyways i am the owner of the S/R. I'm not putting down gude. hell i still think of using them but reliability of their prducts isn't the greatest. To many people have had some service problems and i haven't heard anyone really get in the ballpark of 58 horses. I'm gonna clearify that i haven't ever personally conversed with the owners of these packages on there cars. i usually just sit and read posts on www.zx2.com and get my own opinion.
want better quality. check Esslinger. they have head packages. different stages.
But maybe pricer. But like i was told this weekend by Terry H. how deep are your pockets?
thanx

Just trying to spark some serious HP for the Zetec runners out there... There used to be all of this talk of "nothing's available for my Zetec", but now that there is, nobody is stepping up. Perry is doing some reasearching, but other than that, nobody seems to be doing much of anything for real power bolt ons...

30 HP or 58HP... both are still better than stock... I've been searching for a project Zetec to have as a toy... anyone know of any in need of motor repair for under 2 grand?

RORORACING on club-focus.net had a Gude package done on his ZX3, and his gain was 37hp at the wheels. The package he got is the turbo-ready set up because he is having a turbo installed within a month or two.

Well, I've been waiting to get some work done on my car so I haven't had any money, but I will soon. I'm researching all the zx2/zx3/zetec/foci parts for power. The problem is I've never had a car I wanted to seriuosly mod the engine on. Now I do. What next? I need a little direction. Should I start with cams and gears, then valves, springs, seats, pistons?? My exhaust and intake are all set for some more power, now where should I get it from. I've been looking at the Esslinger cams and gears, JBA header and what not. Any advice? laugh
