Anyone check out Gude performance lately? The heads and cam "Stinger" package adds up to 58 freeeking HP to the wheels (dealer estimates mid 40's without the TB on the tours). The TB that comes with the kit may be different due to manifold differences, but the rest should fit, I.E. ported head and cams... Damn boys, time to whoop some arese... The ZX2 guys are putting 2 cars lengths on a Prelude 2.2 Vetec with this kit... Price is $1450 for an introductory offer only... Damn, I need that. I bet that TB is pretty similiar to ours if not identical. That would be nice to be able to use the whole kit. I'd just like the new cams and head. This thing is exaclty what I need for some more power.

I'd bet that the TB is different. On the Focus, the TB is different from MTX to ATX. Different gasket is required or some such nonsense.

I see all these crazy power adders when I surf around Focaljet. Port, Polish, & 7 Angle valve job for relatively cheap, Gude, turbos, superchargers, headers, etc. I usually don't waste my time posting because I know that there aren't too many people here (any?!) that have the big bucks to drop.

So the TB should work since the packeg comes with a ported intake manifold.

They also have a turbo kit.

Where are the people thinking about a Duratec swap? those guys must have the money if they thought they could afford that :rolleyes:...

Thats my first set of plans is to get the stinger Package before a turbo. Don't know I kind of want to keep it NA.

Shoulda warned me, I would have put my waders on!

The last edge is making sure that I can return the things if they don't fit. Long tubes would rock, but the only place I've found that sells them is FocusSport and they won't help me out.

Call Eric at BAT. He said he could get long tubes and would allow a return if it doesn't fit. The only way you can't return it is if it's completely installed and ran that way... Right, I called Eric about a month ago, and just called him again just now. No Focus headers in stock -- call again in a few weeks. ME WANT!

The cat flange on the Contour and Focus is different, so short tube Focus headers won't bolt right up. Either make the downpipe a permanent part of the system (another $100 which puts me in range of the ZX2 Kamikaze headers that I can get now and return).

Eric did mention that they have a set of long tube prototypes they are working on.... He doesn't know when they'd be ready, but my credit card is burning a hole in my pocket!
