How many interested in a stainless steel cat-back for the Zetec?

Some of you may remember back in Jan/Feb I tried to get something going on this front but the company I was dealing with at that time was being uncooperative and kept screwing around with me.

Well, after some more research and a few visits to various companies, I think I have found one that is more than willing to help us out on this front. It is a smaller, innovative and dynamic manufacturer which will be prototyping a cat-back for my SVT next week. This prototyping day is set in stone and not like my previous attempt in Jan/Feb where I kept getting the round around.

If there is enough interest, I will post a thread in the group buys in two weeks time where at that point I will hopefully have been able to prototype the Zetec system as well.

Any thoughts on the type of system and price point where it will be attractive to the enthusiast?

Any requests, questions, concerns, other?

Thanks...

alessandro

2 1/4" duals for the ZETEC would be a nice cat back system.

Cool Blue Lows, Silver Star Highs (great lights)

Luckie...

If you mean 2 1/4" quasi dual exhaust, it will be overkill on the zetex with too much loss in backpressure.
If you mean a dual tipped muffler out back...very doable...

pricing uncertain at this point, will know better next week or so

I am interested. Are we looking at $200(US) or less?

Basically all I really want is like an affordable SVT style cat back. Just a straight pipe 2 1/4" with y pipe at the rear for dual exhuast.
Don't need any quasi dual contraptions.

Quasi duals is just what you described...

Very doubtful it will be under $200US for a complete stainless steel unit.

I would expect about 400 for a complete stainless cat back. I'm definately interested. laugh Quasi dual contraption!! :p I think dual exhaust is a little too free flowing for the Zetec. Without some more hp coming out of the engine.

What about a regular single BOLT on system? Duals you would have to weld a hanger on the other side, defeats the purpose of an aftermarket exhaust.

Yes its a zetec, we were here before vtec, so we are not copying!
