OK! Check it out....
You have to get a pre-98 guage for a pre-98 car. If you have a 98+ car you must get the 98+ guage...due to the different computers. NOW! The tranny type DOES NOT MATTER. The engine does. Even so, you find out what resistor is on the tach of an I4 and the value of the one for a V6. Desolder and solder in the one you need. If you have an I4 and get one from a V6, find out what value the resistor is for the I4 tach and go to the store and get that resistor to put in. I'll take a look and see what the value is on a pre-98 I4 tach. Are you following this? You need to be sure you have the tach wire of course.
