Im not very fimiliar with nitrous (Better with turbos). Would the ATX handle 100 shot?

No, NOS is not better for FWD ATX. A turbo would be the better choice becuase the power is a gradual gain not a sudden burst, 100hp suddenly at the front wheels would pull like a Son of a *****. Plus the tranny wouldn't last very long.

2000 SE Zetec ATX
Medium Steel Blue (Now with large custom dent on the rear door)
Cool Blue Lows, Silver Star Highs (great lights)

What about the MTX? It should handle a turbo and NOS. Just need a heavy duty clutch.

The ATX is actually pretty sturdy. They use the same one for the Zetec as they do with the Duratec.

The ATX IS strong enough for an 8 psi turbo, Ive found out. But I dont know about a turbo and NOS. That would require major Trans upgrades. Id like to get my car into the 10s or 12s smile

100HP shot would ruin the tranny, if not the engine. A guy on the mailing list tried a 75 shot on his atx zetec a year or two ago. Ended up replacing the engine... YMMV.

12's is possible NA if you go on a serious diet. Esslinger's ZX2 go into the 12s with ~200HP, but it only weighed 2000lbs.

If I built up the internals with stuff from Esslinger and did the trans with stuff from Level 10 and put a 3/4 hybrid turbo on it with NOS, add larger injectors and a stand alone fuel management system. I bet I could hit 10s.

If I were to add a NOS system, what would I need to replace in my engine to ensure that my pistons wouldn't shoot through my hood and my engine to melt down smtass4u@aol.com
