D Davis, my car was doing the same thing, crappy mileage then it went up a lot. The only thing I have done was replace the fuel filter. Mabye thats what it was, mabye not, but Im not complaining! My mileage is much better than 6 months ago.

I'll have to find/check the invoice. I had a bunch of crap done that day, about $600 worth (and a pissed off wife, to boot  ) If I can find it, I'll post a reply tomorrow under this thread.

Ok, thanks. The guy I went to wanted over $100 to clean the injectors and I thought that was kind of steep.

If I remember correctly this was all part of the fuel system cleaning: Ever Wear Ever Clean = $12.85 Ever Wear Engine Treatment = $18.99 3-Step Fuel System Cleaner = $44.99 Fuel System Labor = $27.59 I just noticed they didn't charge me for the fuel filter Hope this helps.

i get about 350 miles to a tank. heavy or normal driving. but i dont often do normal! lol!

This message is for BBorges especially, but everybody read and comment.
Well, down here in Texas where the air gets hot, thin, and humid (all bad things for combustion) I am not doing so well.
In the winter, with the A/C off, I can do pretty well.
But here in the summer, not so good. I can get about 250 per tank. Maybe 285 if I mix in a little highway. I am a four cylinder (ZETEC) with ATX. I love the car, but am a bit dissappointed in the mileage.
If I do ALL highway driving, it gets a lot better. I drove form Dallas to Abilene several months ago, and avoided the A/C for much of it, and averaged 29 mpg. I could have gone 400 on that tank. I had about 370 and the light was on, so 400 would push it come to think of it.
But that is my record- 29 mpg and 360-370 miles on a tank.
In the city, my mileage has been as low as 16 mpg, and that was a shock.
