For what it's worth, I was on my way from Flagstaff to Phoenix a couple of weeks ago in my 'tour and decided to have some fun in the twisties. Until that day, I had never pushed my car to the governor, so I really didn't know what to expect. Much to my surprise, she pulled relatively smoothly up to 110 (or so) when the governor kicked in. Keep in mind I was in 4th at about 5300 rpm. Just some quick estimation tells me that, barring a hurricane headwind, the car could probably do 130-135 sans governor. Someone posted the idea of installing a governor-bypass switch. I think I'll do that, head north and let you guys know what happens...
