21 or 22 in the city, 34 (all time best earlier this month) on the highway at 75. MPG really goes down after 75.

No light on my car. I went 340 miles and decided it was time to fill up. To my surprise, it only took a hair over 10 gallons. Return trip I cruised around 78 and got like 32.9 MPG. Drops even faster after that... 85mph cruising got me 29mpg back in January.

My tour does between 26-29 with a mix of city and highway. On a trip about a month ago I peaked at almost 36 MPG with the rest of the trip running around 29-32 MPG. While we're on the subject, what's the most miles anyone has got out of a tank??? Can anyone beat 400 miles??

I did a little experiment when I first got the car. First to tank gas pedel went to the floor. I pulled 17-19 mpg. But when When I babied her to the extreme I pulled 28. So it does matter how aggresive of driver you are. I will ussally pull between 25 and 26 mpg. I found out that I get the best gas milage at around 80 mph.

i have a 1998 se 24v now, but before i had a 1996 gl with a zetec and a 5 speed. on a particular trip to chicago, IL from muskegon, MI and back with random city driving in both cities and along the way i got aprox 397 miles on one tank of gas. this is with mostly highway driving with the cruise set at 80 or 85. with my new se with a v6, the most miles i have gotten per tank is around 290. the highest mpg i got with the se has been around 24 and the highest with the gl was almost 34. so... i like the SE 24v 1,000,000 times better! with the coming gas price hikes though, my bike will see alot more use.

Mine is '97 Contour GL, manual (66k mi)
I get ~26 in city and ~33 on highway (factory data, I think).
And I was told that my driving is 'grandpa style' laugh

Just installed K&N filter, new wires, plugs & fuel filter: I'm curious what they'll do.

-98 Mystique Zetec ATX

This last trip I was averaging 260 miles per tank @ about 76-80mph.

Sheez, I only wish I could get close to 400 per tank. laugh
