What are you guys getting fore gas mileage. I think my car is messed up, i filled it to the F, not totally full, but right where the F is and my light turned on after 220 miles, What is up with that??

Mine was getting the excact same mileage, until I replaced the fuel filter. My mileage has gone up quite a bit. I also do mostly city driving, which doesnt help.

Hey, I've been wondering about my mileage also. I get 250 to a tank, so about 19 mpg. I had expected better.
One other thing...ggee6688 mentioned that his light came on. I've never had a low fuel light come on! Do I even have one? My cluster IS the one without the tach, but the needle has been on "E" before, and I'd expect there would be a light. Think it's burned out?

erm mine has a tach, and no fuel warning light, i didnt think any contours had them, or maybe it was added on the later ones?

Well, I'm pushing 310mi. I do all highway driving and I just bought the car used 3mos ago.

I have a 98 Mystique GS with the Auto. 30 mile commute round trip, not many lights some stop and go. Has the 185/70 factory tires with 10,000miles.
At least 25/26MPG and over 300 miles before fillups. Full highway driving at 62MPH gives me over 31 MPG.
Over 300 miles before low fuel light comes on. If I drive a while like that fill ups are 13 gallons and over with the auto fuel nozzels.
Not bad, hoped for a little better average MPG, but can't beat the highway miles and range with the auto. And, the car is bigger than a bread box.

My Mystique has the 15" tires from the factory and only gets around 20-22 in city driving. I have gotten 25-29 on the highway, but that is if I set cruise control at 55-60 and keep it there.
