I just bought a 96 Mystique this past weekend. When I depress the gas peddle even the smallest bit I hear a light ticking/vibration noise from the drivers front corner. The noise is only present when gas is applied, the car coasts down the road silently. Any idea what it might be or if it is a concern, or if I should just turn up the radio =)? I'm pretty sure it is not a lifter. With new cars, and after being shell-shocked by my last car, I'm pretty in-tune to any funny engine noises.

hey i had a similar problem like that with my 95 contour it was more like a clicking noise when i accelerated and it turned out to be a cracked piston, had to get a whole new engine
