AS you guys replied to all concerns. I have the answers to the UDP and Thermo plug and intake mods.

1-the UDP from ASP does work i just put it on the car tonight and it kicks a**. Big improvement to the horsepower. I can feel it at higher rpm's. LOVE IT.....Plus ther is no down fall to the UDP it slows down Accseroys and makes the pumps last longer. now problem to the alt or water pumps. still reads good on the tester i have.

2- the intake i have a custom tube that was made for me that fits direct to the TB and MAF. It brings moretorque to the wheels. About 2lbs. Dyno it yesterday. I think it was worth it. But I had it made for free.

3- The thing about the plug is good to cool the car doiwn quicker and keep cool. The only thing that might be affected is winter time. the car might take a little longer to warm up. But i think it want if you kepp the plug at 180. Don't go any lower. The plug really improves cooling..My org plug made the temp about half on the gauge. the new plug(180) made that cut in half. It well worth it.

Any question email me ruby@cliffhanger.com
part from spmotorsports.com the item # is 840110 - 98-00 2,0L DOHC Ford Escort ZX2 crank Pulley----SP list it under the contour stuff too.

Has anyone noticed a change in their fuel milage with the different thermostat? I know that the computer enriches the fuel mixture untill the engine reaches a certain temperature. At what temperature does the computer stop enriching the fuel mixture?

No sign of mileage to the car, It just starts the cooling process early then normal. It would not change the mileage.

The plus thing to this on the cars is the hood will not steam any more when water rest on the hood. So that means no paint damage to the car or metal fatigue with water and heat under the car.

-------That is a major plus for the car and that was a big sign i knew it was working better..before my hood would be extreamly hot on the touch..but would not burn you...now it is warm..I am happy with a cooler car...

------- There is no effects on the heating and a/c systems that i have noticed...it actuallys seems to warm up faster on the heating end...so that tells me that the car is doing the natural cool down by put more heat in the heatercore....

*remember to depressuize the system before u do this mod...Our u will be drinking anti-green just like i did.....hahahaha

any questions on any mods pls feel free to ask or email me at ruby@cliffhanger.com or even call me 701-837-0679...

Why doesn't Ford install these low temp. thermostats at the Factory?

I have known people to punch the thermostat out when the thermostat sticks closed. In cold weather they put stuff in front of the radiator to stop the air flow. They are not to happy when the lack of air flow toasts their engine.
Their theory is that a big peice of cardboard in front of the radiator will do the job of the thermostat.

Ztuner, I am in Irvine and not to far from your shop. If you give me directions from the Toll Road, I can make it over there this weekend and we can see what fits and what doesnt. Plus , I would like to get that thermo installed as well. Let me know. My email address is nishalp@home.com
